Researchers at SUPSI are active in the fields of renewable energy (PV in particular), rational use of building energy, building maintenance and refurbishment, as well as participatory processes and living lab approaches to foster sufficiency and sustainable lifestyles.
IDE is a space for applied research of visual culture and interactive media. IDE contextualises current emerging issues in interaction design research, gamification, web and mobile applications, IoT and digital fabrication, e-learning and open licences.  

ZHAW
IIE (Institut für Innovation und Entrepreneurship)
INE (Institute for Sustainable Development)
ZHAW conducts research in creative innovation and social science energy research, specializing in the areas of real-world Living Labs and behavior change.

CLEMAP
CLEMAP AG specializes in the metering and evaluation of energy data. Through a combination of measurement solutions (if required including its own current sensor) and AI / Machine Learning, added values such as warning messages, efficiency gains, operation optimization, etc. can be generated from energy data.

EKS
Elektrizitätswerk des Kantons Schaffhausen AG (EKS) is a medium-size Swiss utility, with a portfolio of around 44’000 customers, for a total electricity supply of 532 millions of kWh per year. They have largely rolled-out the TIKO system across their district and are currently engaged in a number of pilot projects.

Stadtwerk Winterthur
Stadtwerk Winterthur is a multi-utility company of the city of Winterthur in the canton of Zurich, which is active in the area of energy supply and disposal. It employs around 380 people and serves around 115’000 citizens of the city of Winterthur. By mid 2021, a large scale electricity smart-metering roll-out will cover about 22’000 of their household customers.

Technische Betriebe Wil (TBW)
The energy provider Technische Betriebe Wil, located in the canton of St.Gallen, is medium-sized Swiss utility with over 40’000 customers that offers services in the area of electricity, gas, water and telecommunication.
