{"id":712,"date":"2017-09-25T15:15:41","date_gmt":"2017-09-25T15:15:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.socialpower.ch\/?page_id=712"},"modified":"2020-11-06T12:25:02","modified_gmt":"2020-11-06T12:25:02","slug":"app","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.socialpower.ch\/index.php\/app\/","title":{"rendered":"App-en"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ln6MH5kwP1k?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Social Power App has the following main objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn household members into <strong>engaged consumers<\/strong> of their own energy use by combining gamification and a collaborative or competitive game environment between neighbours<\/li>\n<li>Improve <strong>consumption awareness<\/strong> of app users with real-world challenges and self-learning tools for efficient energy consumption and improving energy system knowledge;<\/li>\n<li>Make <strong>energy visible<\/strong> through real-time monitoring from smart meters of electricity use and user-friendly graphics;<\/li>\n<li>Improve <strong>communication<\/strong> between electricity utilities and household members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Household participants were either assigned to a <strong>collaborative<\/strong> gameplay context with a fixed goal 10% electricity savings target collectively with their neighbourhood team, or a <strong>competitive<\/strong> gameplay context where neighbourhood teams compete to save the most electricity.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.socialpower.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/img_process_1.jpg\" alt=\"socialpowerprocess\"><\/p>\n<p>The Social Power App integrates <strong>electricity-saving challenges, tips <\/strong>and<strong> quizzes<\/strong> in order to motivate&nbsp;participants to earn points and reach the electricity savings and participation goals. Smart meter data complements the user experience by showing hourly and weekly electricity consumption which is directly compared to their own historical consumption and their team\u2019s savings performance. While completing challenges on the App, participants learn how to positively improve electricity use in their household.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A look into the App<\/strong><br \/>\n<img class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.socialpower.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/App.jpg\" alt=\"socialpowerapp\"><\/p>\n<p>1. Energy monitoring interface: reports the energy consumption by hour and the weekly average<br \/>\n2. Game statistics: showing current challenges, the user\u2019s own progress and points, as well as the points compared to others.<br \/>\n3.
